An employee trades his time for money. He works the 9-5 and gets his bi-weekly check and that's it. Effectively he trades his time for money. Spends the money and repeats the cycle so he will have to work forever to keep that cycle going.
An entrepreneur spends his time in such a way that the efforts of today will reap him benefits for months and even years from now. An entrepreneur knows that time is his most valuable commodity so he doesn't spend it trading it for money. Instead he spends his time on implementing strategies that will keep the money coming in whether he spends more time on them or not.
You don't need a startup to be an entrepreneur either...but it helps. It is a lifestyle, a mindset, an attitude, and a work ethic more than anything else.
If you've got a great idea and want to free yourself from the cycle, this is a good place to start: dawalibi@garagecanada.com
